With Telehouse, an authentic pioneer of the data center industry joins GDA: When it was founded in 1989, the company was the first neutral colocation provider in Europe. Telehouse Germany Chief Executive Officer Dr. Béla Wadhauser has been involved in various associations and committees for over 20 years and is committed to improving the framework conditions for the data center industry - now also in cooperation with GDA.

GDA welcomes Telehouse and Dr. Béla Waldhauser to the Association

Telehouse becomes a member of GDA

Telehouse operates more than 40 own data centres in Asia, Europe, Africa and the USA. As subsidiary of KDDI Corporation, Japan’s second largest telecoms company,  the company provides ICT services in more than 170 countries.

The globally networked telehouse data centers provide fast, secure and efficient access to cloud providers, service providers and carriers, while the direct connection to central Internet hubs (Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, New York, Paris and Tokyo) ensures highly available and high-performance data traffic.

The data center of Telehouse Deutschland GmbH is located in Frankfurt/Main. In the immediate proximity of DE-CIX, centrally located and optimally accessible, it provides infrastructure, network solutions and ICT services tailored to every customer requirement. With an IT area of around 50,000 square meters, the high-availability data center is one of the largest and most modern in Germany.

"We are pleased to have Telehouse Deutschland and Dr. Béla Waldhauser as fellow campaigners for improving the framework conditions for data center operations," says GDA Chairwoman Anna Klaft. "A united approach facilitates the achievement of common goals - with Béla Waldhauser, we welcome not only a data center expert but also an experienced and persistent lobbyist for digital infrastructures to GDA."

"We have to be active in many places as an industry in order to achieve something,“ says Telehouse Deutschland CEO Dr. Béla Waldhauser. He is the spokesman for the "Allianz zur Stärkung digitaler Infrastrukturen in Deutschland" of eco e.V. and is involved in the data center working group of Bitkom e.V. "Since more and more decisions are being made in Brussels," Waldhauser is also active in the Policy Group of the EUDCA.

Now he is looking forward to working together with GDA: "With the new and very agile board, I would like to be active together for our industry."
