In Deutschland gibt es derzeit 1.994 Rechenzentren mit einer jeweiligen Nennanschlussleistung von über 50 kW. Von diesen sind 309 hochspezialisierte Colocation-Rechenzentren, die zusammen etwa 70 % der gesamten IT-Leistung in Deutschland bereitstellen.
