To meet the growing importance of this topic and the goals and aspirations of the industry in the future, Nik Maurice Krämer has been supporting the German Datacenter Association in a full-time capacity as a Communication & Research Expert since mid-September 2023.
Data centers are the foundation of every digital ecosystem and a crucial factor for the advancement of a sustainable and collaborative future. The enormous relevance for the success of digital transformation needs to be brought into focus, and awareness in the general public and politics must be sharpened. Together with Julia Niederwipper, he will dedicate himself to expanding and developing the communication and marketing measures of the Association.
After eight years of service in the Bundeswehr and completing a master's degree in Communication and Media Studies, Nik moved to the Handelsverband Hessen in Frankfurt am Main. There, he was responsible for the strategic realignment of public relations for the handel.digital campaign – supported by the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Housing as well as Technologieland Hessen. In this role, he was tasked with expanding communication efforts to promote collaboration between actors in politics, business, and society at the municipal, state, and federal levels.
His expertise will now be strategically applied to the GDA: "As the centerpiece of modern technologies, data centers are the central infrastructure for a successful digital transformation and a modern, connected society. They form the basis for the exchange of experiences and collaboration between companies, institutions, and society as a whole. Therefore, data centers contribute to continuous improvement and innovation to shape a better and sustainable future for all of us – it is important to give them even more visibility and a voice in the right places."
