The first Open Data Center Day (Tag der offenen Rechenzentren - TdoRZ) was received with gratitude, interest and attention. Especially for this day, the Image competence group of GDA Think Tank developed a brochure that provides answers to eight questions about data centers in a very brief and clear manner.

"Where does the Internet actually live?!"

On the initiative of the German Datacenter Association, 20 data center operators invited visitors to the first Open Data Center Day (TdoRZ) in 2023: Under the motto "Where does the Internet actually live?!", 25 data centers in 16 German cities opened their doors to around 800 interested visitors. These had already registered in advance for the guided tours, which gave a look inside data centers and thus into the "home" of the Internet as a data store.

It became clear where and how we actually store our data, photos and films in the cloud and how it is possible, for example, to work together on documents or to fill our shopping carts online.

In the Image competence group of the GDA Think Tank, members and partners not only developed the TdoRZ concept but also content for a brochure that could be accessed at the TdoRZ by scanning a QR code on the posters at the sites. But even beyond the day, it provides concise and clear answers to eight questions about data centers.
