NorthC is a leading provider of regional data centers in Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
The company was founded in 2020 through the merger of two Dutch data center companies. Subsequently, NorthC expanded into Germany in 2022 with the acquisition of IP Exchange and into Switzerland by acquiring Netric’s data centers. New data centers are under development, among others, in Frankfurt and Berlin. NorthC is distinguished by its strong regional presence with data centers strategically located in key areas, high-quality services and tailor-made connectivity and hybrid cloud solutions. The company has clear sustainability and climate neutrality objectives: NorthC aims to be climate neutral by 2030.
“We are delighted to be part of a strong network of industry experts as a member of the German Datacenter Association. Our motivation is to actively contribute to the further development of sustainable and innovative datacenter infrastructure in Germany”, emphasises Donald Badoux, Managing Director DACH at NorthC. Looking ahead to future cooperation, he adds, “Together with the other members, we aim to promote knowledge exchange and establish best practices. We are committed to driving forward digitalisation in Germany in a responsible, data-secure and future-proof manner.”
“With NorthC, we are gaining a member that will make an important contribution to digital sovereignty thanks to its strong regional presence and European ambitions. We are convinced that our cooperation will provide valuable impetus for expanding a sustainable and independent digital infrastructure in Germany and across Europe,” said Anna Klaft, Chairwoman of the GDA Executive Board.
