On March 25 and 26, the German Datacenter Association was on-site at fiberdays 2026 in Frankfurt. As a partner, the GDA actively involved its members in the conference program.
Organized by BREKO Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e.V., fiberdays brought together around 300 international exhibitors from the fiber-optic and digital industries at Messe Frankfurt. The event is regarded as a central platform for innovations, services, and professional exchange regarding fiber-optic technology, data centers, sustainability, and digital infrastructures.
A special highlight was the International Carrier Exchange Stage, where two representatives from the GDA membership discussed key future topics for the industry:
- Data Sovereignty & Resilience: Murat Turgut, Director of Sales at NorthC Datacenters Germany, spoke with industry representatives about digital sovereignty and resilience in infrastructure.
- Cloud Infrastructures: Günter Eggers, Director of Public at NTT Global Data Centers, joined representatives from EXA Infrastructure and Nokia to provide insights into the further development of modern cloud infrastructures.
In addition to the engaging presentations on stage, fiberdays offered numerous opportunities for networking with trade visitors, exhibitors, and industry partners. The GDA looks back on two intensive days at the trade show featuring many valuable discussions, new contacts, and fresh inspiration for the association’s future work.
