On May 12, numerous guests gathered at the Frankfurt office of Gleiss Lutz for the GDA Net[t]work After Lunch to discuss the transmission system operators’ maturity assessment process and its implications for the grid connection of data centers.
Technical Insights and Keynotes
Under the title “No Grid, No Data Center—How the TSOs’ Maturity Assessment Process Is Changing Grid Connection,” the event focused on grid connection as a key factor in the development and operation of data centers.
Following opening remarks by Peter Pohlschröder (Deputy Chairman of the GDA), Dr. Tim Weber (partner at Gleiss Lutz) kicked off the event’s technical discussion.
Discussion and Outlook
The discussion, moderated by Eva Brendel (Bloomberg News), examined the new maturity assessment process for transmission system operators (TSOs) and its impact on planning, permitting, and investment decisions.
