Working Together to Expand Sustainable Digital Infrastructure: AtlasEdge will bring its European data center expertise to the GDA network.
With AtlasEdge, the German Datacenter Association (GDA) welcomes a data center operator active across Europe to its association. The company designs, builds, and operates highly secure and scalable data center infrastructures at 14 strategic locations across Europe—including several in Germany. AtlasEdge is a joint venture between Liberty Global and DigitalBridge and focuses specifically on high-growth markets in major European cities. The company is committed to a modular design, high operational reliability, and the consistent use of renewable energy in all new construction projects.
As part of its European expansion strategy, AtlasEdge is consistently driving the expansion of high-performance digital infrastructure. Thanks to its modular approach, data center space can be rapidly provisioned while large-scale campus locations are developed simultaneously. By the end of 2026, the company plans to achieve a capacity of more than 500 megawatts on strategically secured sites. In addition, AtlasEdge supports its customers with specialized teams as they enter new markets and helps them efficiently meet regulatory, commercial, and technical requirements.
“Germany is one of the most dynamic markets for AtlasEdge. Through the GDA, we are actively helping to shape the conditions for secure and sustainable data centers in new growth regions,” says Jens Kilian, Head of Sales DACH at AtlasEdge.
Peter Pohlschröder, Deputy Chairman of the GDA, adds: “With AtlasEdge, the GDA welcomes a company to its network that is strategically driving the expansion of modern data center locations in Europe. With its clear focus on scalability, resilience, and sustainability, AtlasEdge opens up new perspectives for digital infrastructure in Germany.”
