Currently, the Digital Park Fechenheim is being built on the site of the former Neckermann headquarters in the east of Frankfurt around the traditional Egon Eiermann building. With an IT area of around 100,000 sqm, Interxion is not only building Frankfurt's largest data center campus there, but also the largest listed data center in the world, combining 45,000 sqm of data center space under one roof.

Digital Park Fechenheim aims to prove that the protection of historical buildings, urban planning and economic sectors – such as data centers – that shape the future of Frankfurt as a location can be successfully combined to the benefit of all.

"It has never been more important than today to create meaningful framework conditions for sustainable digitalization in Germany," says Volker Ludwig, Managing Director of Interxion Deutschland GmbH. "With the GDA initiatives, we are creating another pillar to achieve this goal together. Together, we stand as enablers for energy transition and progress. I look forward to working together!"
